Onikin Species Sheet

Taxonomy: Onikin are related to Imps. They share some physical characteristics, but have distinct differences.

Nature: Onikin are helpful by nature. They are social creatures who enjoy living among other species.

Anatomy: Onikin are bi-peds, walking on to feet with cloven hooves. Their hands have short fingers and a thumb capable of grasping. Onikin have large ears  that move to show their feelings. They have two small eyes that are a solid color, similar to mice. They have one large eye at the center of their forehead that is multicolored and has a shaped pupil. They have a single horn above their Third eye that is blunt at the tip.

Special Sight: The Third Eye is attuned to something beyond normal sight capabilities. Each Onikin can see something special. For example my Onikin Kismet can see when other creatures are attracted to each other. Kismet uses his ability to interfere and play matchmaker. Kismet is not seeing who should be together, but just who is attracted to each other, so sometimes his matches don't work out. Onikin can be attuned to a specific emotion. They may be able to see things that are far away or microscopic. They may be able to watch things a set amount of time into the future or past, that happened where they are currently standing. They may be able to see desires, or scents, or lies, or things that have been lost. The key is to give your onikin a very specific ability, not an ability that can do a lot of things. Their ability might be useful to whatever job they do. For example an Onikin who can see what ingredients are in their meal, might become a chef or a food critic.
